Re: Snodgrass
Who was it that came on and took Lampard out with a tackle a few years back, Lampsy apparently sarcastically asked him if that was for "that lot in the stands?"

Re: Snodgrass
Mad Dog/Egg- I'm going to go with the spurs one. That does seem to ring a bell although I really can't remember!

I know the other Mad Dog had a couple of similar moments too!

Two of my favourites as a kid.

Especially as Snodgrass is only 4" tall...

Re: Snodgrass
Apart from Burnleys second goal he was great on Saturday.

He really shouldn't have been marking the the 6' 10" centre forward from a corner though ( I have exaggerated his height )

Re: Snodgrass
He's alright. A terrible waste of money - Sullivan is completely right about that. But never as bad as described either - he can fill a spot in a squad, willing to give it a go. A decent stop-gap right now, but probably about finished at this level by next Summer.

"There's always someone worse" is certainly true when it comes to typos.

Thanks, Tex

Re: Snodgrass
He is a classic West Ham squad player, in that he'll never be a world beater or even play a 10/10 game in his whole career, but is willing to work hard and leave it all on the pitch if that's what is appreciated.

Re: Snodgrass
Always liked him and so happy he is now performing.

There's a video I saw of him playing fifa with some of the Scottish players and he comes across as genuinely a really great funny guy.

zA revelation in jis new midgiepd position...
Will probably keep Noble out of the team...on current form...

Re: Snodgrass
I always tried to look at him more as a replacement for Gokhan Tore than Payet. Much more palatable and an actual improvement.

Eggbert Nobacon 4:18 Mon Nov 5
Re: Snodgrass
actually i'[m not sure he came on for that, but he walked before the card a sout

Re: Snodgrass
Moncur in win at Spurs, he cheered to the fans on his way off too

Wright and Keller scored

Trevor B 2:54 Mon Nov 5
Re: Snodgrass
No, Moncur only got a yellow for that.

El Scorchio 2:51 Mon Nov 5
Re: Snodgrass
Was it Moncur on Ince when he came on as a sub, committed an atrocious foul within moments and then just started walking off the pitch even before the ref had shown him the inevitable red card?

Lato 4:15 Mon Nov 5
Re: Snodgrass
The only thing he had in common with the player he replaced was the purchase price. He is one of those footballers that always seemed to play well against us, so it was disappointing that it didn't go well at first for him when joining but, as we all know that wasn't his fault. And now he is doing what he is good at getting stuck in, working hard for the team, giving good delivery on set pieces. The only thing missing is goals albeit a couple against Macclesfield.

We are sometimes to quick to criticise and lambast a player who doesn't fit the West Ham way. Kevin Nolan was another and I could never understand why? He gave us 3 good seasons scoring 30 goals in the process and was probably the best Captian we have since Julian Dicks.

Re: Snodgrass
And yes. I'm glad he's changed my opinion.

Well done snodders

Scorchio

Surely you're talking about Martin Allen c9ming on and cutting Carlton Palmer in half.

He got a yellow

Re: Snodgrass
I'm really pleased for him, had to put up with a load of shit last year, including getting booed by some of our mug fans.

Re: Snodgrass
we all know bilic's training left much to be desired.

we also know that snodgrass is now a lot fitter than he used to be.

he's not a world beater but he's giving it 100% at the moment and we absolutely love when a player does that.

AnotherDay_SameShit 3:42 Mon Nov 5
Re: Snodgrass
Hardly needed another thread did it. Yes, he has done okay this season, but let's not get carried away as if he's now some great player because he aint, it reeks of small time. Remember he was a 110 mil player.

, 3:35 Mon Nov 5
Re: Snodgrass
Perhaps the Snodgrass problem was Bilic. Remember it took the change of manager to start getting a tune out of Arnautovic as well.

By all accounts Snodgrass played well whilst on loan at Villa. Now, being properly managed, he looks a different and better player.

Gavros 3:08 Mon Nov 5
Re: Snodgrass
I think the reason he wasn't much like originally was that he wasn't very good at all. He couldn't cross for toffee. So he's gone away, and refound form, and now he's better.
